Violent Extremism

Kenya has over time witnessed terror activities and the government has gone to great lengths in ensuring its citizens are safe from the extremism threats.

The president of the republic took it upon himself to ensure that the country developed a National Strategy to Counter Violent extremism (NSCVE) which was launched in 2016. It’s important to note that he emphasized the need to have softer approaches that complement Counter Terrorism (CT), which is often deemed to employ hard approaches to fighting Violent Extremism and related vices.

We have been part of this journey, duly elected to serve in the Nairobi Action plan of P/CVE Secretariat chaired by the Nairobi County Commissioner   and we also serve as  Deputy Convener of the Education Pillar.
